First impressions of GSA?
GSA is well presented, structured, professional –  yet down to earth and unpretentious. There is a real transparency to service delivery by the team, and a commitment to putting in the work, to maintain high standards and deliver exceptional service.  From the moment Craig Matthews contacted, and throughout the interview process, I had a strong sense that working with the team at GSA was an opportunity not to be missed!

What do you see as the biggest challenge(s) of your remit at GSA?
Undoubtedly, the challenges of staffing, pooling of resources when necessary, training our team, alongside making time introduce myself and get to know our clients!

What was your first job?
I left school and went straight into working as a labourer in construction services, following in the footsteps of my father and grandfather, both from a building background.

What led you to this career?
I moved into the FM sector in 2004 and held various operative and supervisory roles, securing my first area manager’s position in 2020.

What energises you at work?
Perhaps sounds a little cliched, but thinking outside of the box, and maintaining a flexible approach to every challenge is what does it for me.

What drains you at work?
It has to be “that’s not my job”!

Any work-related accomplishments you are really proud of?
I am proud of my accomplishments along my journey, from operative to area manager.  I also take great pride in working to deliver high standard and retain contracts. Communication with our team and clients alike, is paramount.
